"Treatment with the Bioefficient Therapy did not produce an increase in the amount of root resorption. In fact, group 3 (Bioefficient Therapy) presented even less root resorption than group 1(Simplified Standard Edgewise Technique) and group 2 (Edgewise Straight Wire System). It was speculated that the factors responsible for the smaller resorption in this technique were the use of heat activated and superlastic wires with the bracket design in this technique as well as the use of a smaller rectangular stainless steel wire."
